Abstract

Social experiences for students in history teaching are essential in today's general education. In the general education program in Vietnam, History is a compulsory subject that contributes to the development of students' abilities and qualities. This study aims to improve the effectiveness of social experiential activities in teaching 10th grade History in high schools. On the basis of theoretical research, the article has proposed a number of measures to organize social experiential activities in historical pedagogy at the same time carrying out pedagogical experimentation. The test results of the two experimental and control classes combined showed a significant difference when teaching history with organized social experiences to students. The proposed measures contribute to creating interest in learning, helping them to form and develop the necessary competencies when applying historical knowledge to social life. The results of the study are useful references for history teachers in high schools in the teaching process.
