Abstract

GIS (Geographic Information System) is applied in various sectors and fields to aid in surveying and resource management. In tourism geography, GIS is applied to establish maps of natural landscape differentiation as a basis for assessment of tourism development capacity of natural conditions, showing the distribution of cultural tourism resources as well as the components that make up tourism activities... Based on the Danang city base map database, the climatic characteristics of Da Nang city and the bioclimatic conditions conducive to tourism, the article identified a system of criteria for classifying bioclimatic for tourism, applying GIS and ArcGIS 10.8 software to establish climate maps. These include maps of average annual temperature and annual rainfall distribution; integrated and overlaid to create maps of bioclimatic for tourism in Da Nang city. The results show that Da Nang city has diverse climatic resources with 30 zones belonging to 11 types of bioclimatic. The establishment of bioclimatic maps with these units serves as a basis for research and assessment of resources for the development of various tourism forms in the city.
