Abstract

This study was conducted with the goal of evaluating the current status of school health activities at elementary, middle and high schools in Phu Binh district in 2023. A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in 39 schools. The results show that school health work is relatively fully implemented by the Department of Education and Training, the District Medical Center and the School in Phu Binh district. School health staff at schools mainly have nursing college degrees (82.1%). The rate of schools carrying out staff activities related to school health tasks reached over 90%. The proportion of schools with school health officers who perform their own tasks: Compiling records to monitor student health and providing initial first aid accounts for over 70%. Schools have provided health education to students mainly integrated into lectures or extracurricular courses. Anemia prevention programs and malnutrition prevention programs are rarely implemented, especially in middle and high schools.
