Abstract


This paper presents the results of research to assess the participation of households in community tourism development in Ta Van commune, Sa Pa district, Lao Cai province. Research data was collected from the statistics combined with surveys, interviews by questionnaires and sampling. Methods of grouping and statistical analysis are used to process data. The results show that: (1) The involvement of the local community in providing certified accommodation facilities and sales services is quite diverse; (2) Labor deployment is available to a small community travel, with the cultural level at average height; (3) Income from tourism activities for poor and near poor households is not high; (4) Research also shows five advantages and three hard years of people in community tourism.
