FACTORS AFFECTING THE SECURITIES INVESTMENT DECISION OF NEW PERSONAL INVESTORS ON THE STOCK MARKET IN VIETNAM

Abstract


The objective of this study is to determine the factors affecting the stock investment decision of new individual investors on the Vietnamese stock market. Survey data are 183 securities investors who regularly trade on Vietnam's stock market in 2021 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and application of multivariable regression model for data analysis. The research has determined that the following factors: Market information, Personal confidence, Advisor's opinion and Technical analysis results have an influence on investors' decision to invest in securities. The research results will support new investors to improve their efficiency in making investment decisions and propose some solutions to market management units to aim at the growth of Vietnam's securities.
