ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF TOURISM SERVICES IN HA LONG BAY AS BASIS FOR ECOTOURISM PROGRAM OF QUANG NINH PROVINCE

Abstract


The study was conducted to understand tourists’ perceptions of the quality of tourism services in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. The researcher conducted interviews with 276 tourists on the quality of tourism services provided by tourism organizations and government agencies. These are basic elements such as tourism infrastructure system, the beauty of scenic places, tourism services, management, exploitation of tourism resources, information systems safety, customer care, as well as recommendations of people to develop tourism in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh. The research used explorer factor analysis and correlated regression analysis to measure and identify positive factors that negatively affect the quality of tourism services in Ha Long Bay. The research has identified six key factors affecting the quality of tourism in Vinh Long, including: responsibility, landscape, empathy, management, assurance, and communication. The study also pointed out the limited constraints in the exploitation, maintenance and conservation of tourism resources in Ha Long Bay. Based on that, the article suggests some ideas and solutions to improve the quality of tourism services in Ha Long Bay.
