CLINICAL, SUBCLINICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF HENOCH-SCHÖNLEIN PURPURA DISEASE IN CHILDREN AT VIETNAM NATIONAL CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

Abstract


This study describes clinical, subclinical characteristics for Henoch-Schönlein purpura in children at VietNam National Children's Hospital. Method of cross-sectional descriptive was used to study on 92 children Schönlein-Henoch who monitored for inpatient and outpatient treatment at the Department of Immunology - Allergy - Joints of the Vietnam National Children's Hospital from May 2022 to May 2023. The results showed that: the ratio of male to female of 1.8:1 with the mean age was 7.24 ± 2.55 years. Schönlein-Henoch has seasonal characteristics, it was more common in the winter (35.9%) and the spring (31.5%). The common clinical manifestations were: purpura (100%), digestive symptoms (94.6%), joint pain (68.5%), nephritis (2.2%), and symptoms genitalia in boys (6.5%), soft tissue swelling (46.7%). Peripheral blood white blood cell count > 10G/l in 72.8%; 53.3% of patients had CRP > 6mg/l. Urine tests showed a kidney damage rate of 9.8%. The clinical features of Henoch-Schönlein of children are diverse, combination of skin and gastrointestinal, joint, renal involvementtests. Tests showed a relatively high rate of inflammation combined with infection.
